The faculty of the department of electronics science and technology has been actively involved in research activities in numerous fields, such as antenna design, radio propagation characterization, research and design of high performance CPU, Large-scale and ultra-large-scale integrated circuit design, far infrared sensor and its application, power electronics and integrated circuit, etc. The department owns the national integrated circuit talent base, the 985 Embedded system, and the key laboratory of the ministry of education for “Embedded systems and services computing”.

In the past five years, the department has undertaken more than 30 national 863 projects: the Technology Support Program, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and a number of provincial and ministerial level scientific research projects in VLSI design, full custom CPU, mobile communications and multimedia dedicated SoC, as well as infrared sensor and its application. The department has achieved considerable academic achievements and peer recognition at home and abroad. The department published three textbooks, including two textbooks of the 11th five-Year Plan. It also published more than 100 papers in domestic and international high-level academic journals, which includes more than 20 articles in SCI, EI included 30 papers. It also applied more than 30 patents; more than 10 have been approved.
