In recent years, the department participates actively with international academic institutes in numerous research projects. Supported by the French and Chinese governments, the department has accomplished several research projects jointly with the French Atomic Energy Commission, including "64-scalable multiprocessor chip"(national key technology research program 2005AA1Z1040),"MIPS-based network-on-chip architecture research" and "multi-core CPU development"(2008DR0816). In addition, the department builds wide cooperations with other partners in EU. Coordinated by the Germany government, we have signed the Sino-German project with the University of Hannover and the University of Erlangen and also, the Sino-Finland project. In Asia, we carry out the Sino-Japanese project well with Waseda University. The department presently attempts to setting up academic operations with some universities from U.S.
