The electromagnetic field and microwave technology major was granted master degree authority in 2011. The research fields of the electromagnetic field and microwave technology are the antenna theory and antenna design，microwave circuit design，electromagnetic inverse scattering, microwave imaging, computational electromagnetics，characterization and modeling of wireless propagation channel. Numerous new technologies in the electromagnetics, antenna and propagation, are covered by this specialty, such as, radar, mobile communication, microwave remote sensing, electrical antagonize, intellect antenna, ray and microwave interaction. This subject is widely applied in spaceflight, national defense and economy.
